The mission of the Center for Excellence in Aging and Geriatric Health is first to improve the quality of life for older adults by integrating the research capacity of universities, colleges and medical schools with the capabilities of local service providers.

Answer: A clinical trial is a scientific study with the purpose of finding out how well new drugs, treatments, or medical devices work to treat a specific disease or condition. At CEAGH, we closely supervise, monitor, and document the entire study, making it as safe as possible for participants.

Q: Who Can Participate?

Answer: Clinical trials are open to the general public. Each trial has different guidelines regarding the types of participants who may be eligible. Typically, factors such as age, individual and family history, and ability to comply with study regulations determine who is eligible for a given study.
