The Memory Assessment Clinic can assist you in making an objective assessment of a loved one's memory loss.
What happens during the memory assessment?
- geriatrician evaluation concentrating on memory loss
- neuropsychological testing to determine strengths and weaknesses in cognition
- recommend strategies for families and caregivers to deal with memory loss issues
- referral to community resources for continued support
Who else will see my results?
The results will be sent to your physician and you will receive a copy of the summary.
What fee is involved?
Medicare and most other medical insurances will cover the costs of memory assessment. It is important that you obtain a referral from your primary care physician.
What is the memory assessment clinic?
The Memory Assessment Clinic is staffed by a geriatrician and a neuropsychologist.
The Center for Excellence in Aging and Geriatric Health (CEAGH) is a Williamsburg, Virginia non-profit agency funded by a coalition of health care, educational, and civic groups. Our purpose is to "improve the quality of life for older adults."
