Helping you make an objective decision about whether to limit or even discontinue your driving.
Why does the car seem to have a lot of new dents and scrapes?
Our children won't let the grandchildren ride with him anymore. They're nervous about his driving...so am I.
Driver Evaluation can assist you in making an objective assessment of your own, or a loved one's ability to continue to drive.
What Happens During the Evaluation?
First we discuss any driving experiences or concerns you might have. We then ask you to take a paper and pencil exam testing your cognitive skills and capabilities. These results can help evaluate your visuo-spatial function, mental status and divided attention problems.
Finally, after a practice session in our driving simulator, you will drive a predetermined route in the simulator that will last approximately 30 minutes. The results will help us assess your ability to drive and perform tasks necessary for safe operation of a motor vehicle.
Our professional evaluators will offer you unbiased and objective recommendations regarding your driving abilities.
Who Else Will See My Results?
The results will be sent to your physician; you will receive a copy of the summary.
What Fee is Involved?
At this time driving evaluations are not covered by insurance, and the fee is $295. Currently, we do not accept credit cards. We do offer a sliding scale fee based upon your income. Please ask the receptionist if you qualify for this at the time of service.
